About Working With Me
You are interested in examining how and why you relate to the world the way you do, and you’re seeking to make some changes that make life a bit easier for yourself. Perhaps you focus on pleasing others, leaving you feeling overwhelmed and struggling to ask for help. I help people put an end to people-pleasing behaviors, bending over backwards for others, and wishing others would do the same for them.
I specialize in working with clients of all genders navigating the complexities of their own identities through a feminist and social justice lens. Together we can work to build your self-esteem, assert boundaries, and feel empowered to express your needs and wants, leading you to your most authentic and embodied self. I help clients explore personal healing, boundary setting, and relationships while acknowledging the larger societal structures and systems of oppression, empowering them to create meaningful change in their lives.
I do this by helping you identify childhood wounds, core beliefs, systemic oppression, and personal environmental factors that contribute to your pain. Then we work to create self-compassion, community, confidence, and the life you want through a framework that centers equity and challenges oppressive structures. You are not alone in these feelings, and you do not need to live this way.
I have knowledge and experience working with neurodivergent individuals, understanding how neurodivergence intersects with identity, relationships, and mental health. I have special training in working with the queer community, and my graduate degree focused on LGBTQ+ affirmative psychotherapy.
Cultural Considerations
For clients who are looking for a therapist who understands their cultural experience, I am a Latinx, pansexual therapist who recognizes I pass as white, am in a heterosexual marriage, and the privilege that comes with that.

My Background
I started my own therapy journey over a decade ago. After investing in myself, I realized that helping others do the same was what I wanted to do with my life.
I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University in Los Angeles, CA, a school that takes pride in its social justice approach to learning. I then completed my training at Airport Marina Counseling Service in Westchester, CA, where I learned to work with clients through a psychodynamic lens. During that time, I worked with a diverse range of adults and also met with children at Boys and Girls Club of Venice.
Upon completing my training, I started working with children, families and adults at Wellnest in South Los Angeles. I have also worked with clients struggling with homelessness at St. Joseph Center in Santa Monica, CA.
I now live in Humboldt County where I own and operate Humboldt Therapy. I see clients in person at my office located in Eureka, CA, and via telehealth throughout the state of California.
After close to a decade of working in the field I now provide clinical supervision for associate therapists working towards their licensure who are interested in providing therapy through a feminist/anti-racist/LGBTQIA-affirmative lens. I like all my clients to know that I attend my own therapy and participate regularly in professional consult groups to ensure I am keeping my skill level high in order to better help them.
In addition to being a therapist, I am a white-passing Latinx woman, wife, mother, pro-choice supporter, and believer of science.
